this is a combination of two existing badges, a fragmentary framed 15thC piece in the Museum of London and an early long gowned badge in the Salisbury Museum collection.

Both are probably from Mont St Michael in France. 

In keeping with the continental style, this badge has no pin back, but is stitched on.
