Angel of Notre Dame

Made to commemorate the efforts of the Paris firefighters in saving Notre Dame Cathedral from destruction, this badge is a variation on a common medieval form of badge venerating the Virgin Mary.

This Angel holds a Firepot, rather than a Sacred Heart, as the Firepot is the emblem of the Sapeur Pompiers, The French Fire Service.

Given that Notre Dame was the most influential place of worship dedicated to the Virgin Mary in the middle ages, this just seemed like the perfect choice.

The Mould was finished on Good Friday, April 19th 2019.
